The Applicant was charged with assault with a weapon causing bodily harm. The trial judge rendered a verdict of unfit to stand trial and directed that the Applicant submit to mandatory treatment and that he be detained in the Centre Hospitalier Robert Giffard for a period not exceeding sixty (60) days.
