Mr. Warring was charged with two counts of drug trafficking. He was convicted on both counts on August 18th, 2015, but before he was sentenced, Mr. Warring brought an application for a stay of proceedings based on an alleged breach of his s. 11(b) Charter right to be tried within a reasonable time. The application judge dismissed Mr. Warring’s s. 11(b) Charter application. The Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal.
