In 2017, a complainant alleged to police that Dr. Sheppard in 1993 and 1994 had committed multiple incidents of sexual misconduct including sexual touching, mutual masturbation and oral sex. A jury convicted Dr. Sheppard of sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, and sexual assault. The Court of Appeal dismissed an appeal.
