The plaintiff is entitled to aggravated damages in the amount of $20,000 and punitive damages in the amount of $10,000. L'Heureux-Dubé and McLachlin JJ. would have allowed damages in the amount of $20,000 for loss and suffering, $25,000 for sexual exploitation, and $25,000 as punitive damages. Sopinka J. would have allowed aggravated damages in the amount of $20,000 but would not have awarded punitive damages. L'Heureux-Dubé and McLachlin JJ. would have awarded costs on a solicitor client basis.
