The police observed the applicant driving a vehicle with a burnt-out tail light and brake light. They also observed him making a turn from the wrong lane onto a street and pulled him over. The applicant repeatedly failed to comply with demands to open his door or window and then fled the scene in the vehicle. The applicant was convicted of flight from a police officer by motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. The applicant’s appeal to the Summary Conviction appeal court judge and his application for leave to appeal to the Court of Appeal were dismissed.
