Summary

Case summaries are prepared by the Office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court of Canada (Law Branch). Please note that summaries are not provided to the Judges of the Court. They are placed on the Court file and website for information purposes only.

Following a fatal shooting, police charged Mr. Haroon and three co-accused with first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. One co-accused agreed to testify against his co-accused and entered into an immunity agreement. The trial judge gave the jury a Vetrovec caution in respect of his evidence. The jury convicted Mr. Haroon of first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. The Court of Appeal dismissed an appeal.
