(PUBLICATION BAN ON PARTY)

The applicant, A.B., and the respondent, AN. B., are sisters. They are co-owners of a building they inherited from their father. P.M., who is also an applicant, subsequently purchased a small share of A.B.’s interest in the property. The respondent wanted to end the undivided co-ownership of the building. In November 2022, she filed an application requesting partition and that she be entrusted with management of the building in the interim. The Superior Court of Quebec allowed the application in part by authorizing the sale of the building but declining to appoint the respondent as interim manager of the building. The applicants appealed the decision, but the Court of Appeal of Quebec dismissed their appeal.
