The Applicant owns a company offering professional consulting services in labour relations and management as well as legal services. The Association of Employees of the University of Ottawa (“AEUO”) retained his company’s services trom 2004 to 2006. On June 21, 2005, the parties entered into an agreement as to the Applicant’s compensation. On June 27, 2006, the AEUO brought a motion in the Superior Court to reopen the agreement. The trial judge allowed the motion. The judge’s decision was upheld by the Court of Appeal.
