The respondents brought a motion for an order prohibiting the applicant’s father from continuing to act as agent for his son in a lawsuit against the respondents.
The motions judge found that the father was effectively practicing law and that he was barred from doing so. An order prohibiting his continued involvement was issued. The Court of Appeal found that the motions judge had made errors or law and ordered the matter be remitted back to first instance.
