Mr. Christofi’s action against a client for unpaid painting services was dismissed and the client’s counterclaim for damages was granted. Mr. Christofi’s subsequent action against the client’s lawyers was dismissed. In May 2022, Mr. Christofi filed a Statement of Claim in the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta against the lawyers. It was struck out. Mr. Christofi was declared a vexatious litigant and court access restrictions were imposed. The Court of Appeal denied leave to appeal from the order striking the claim and from the vexatious litigant order.
