Summary

Case summaries are prepared by the Office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court of Canada (Law Branch). Please note that summaries are not provided to the Judges of the Court. They are placed on the Court file and website for information purposes only.

The applicant appealed the order of the trial judge dismissing her claims arising from a mistakenly transferred Vehicle Identification Number in 2018, and a medical drivers’ license suspension in 2016. She also sought leave to appeal the related costs order. The trial judge dismissed the applicant’s claims on the basis that they were statute-barred, and ordered costs against her on a substantial indemnity basis in the amount of $100,000.

The Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal.
